Places like Subway like to promote the image of healthy eating like they do on Biggest Loser. Shows they are hypocritical and only interested in making money especially when the strategically place the cookie display right by the register! You would have to make a strong effort to order healthy on their menu as most of it is not.
That's the goal of marketing - to promote an image that is a twist of the truth.
I don't consider Subway to be "healthy". I don't care who makes claims that it is.

Exactly. As far as fast food goes it's not the worst thing you could eat, but if you're actually trying to eat healthy you'd avoid processed meats and cheeses and all that bread in the first place.

Exactly, I never eat there for that reason. Plus, bread (or pasta) at lunch makes me sleepy, even if it is a whole grain. I don't do fast food at all.

Ha! I was going to point that out to you and ask what super healthy choices you, yourself, were making at Subway but I held myself back...lol.
Of course it's marketing. I suppose a Subway sandwich has more veggies, less sodium (maybe), less fat and possibly less simple carbs and calories than a burger and fries at a fast food restaurant. But it's still lunch meat and it's still a pretty big portion of bread that you're eating on those sandwiches. Depending on what you're ordering and putting onto your sub, you might actually be better off eating one of those cookies paired with a light salad option.

You mean they are not using Boars Head meat and imported cheese on my sub!?
I think I ordered a footlong Tuna on wheat. I know not the healthiest option especially since they dont use light mayo or antyhing. I dont have a weight issue though and never have but should be watching my chol.
I love Subway cookies. Especially when you get there when they are fresh. However they are supposed to be about 220 calories. Lot of sugar. Haven't had one in months. I try to keep it down to 3-4 per year.
Are you talking to me? A bit sensitive I see. Maybe you are one of the ones getting a cookie.
