a regular CF wod never has heavy deads in it. the only time you'll see heavier deads in a metcon is with a strength biased program(CrossFit football, Outlaw crossfit, etc) and you rarely see reps exceed 7. Most of the times, it's 3-5.

I am going to have to learn how to do snatches!

Right now, I can do deadlifts at 85# (3 sets of 12) but I can't lift more than ~40-50# above my waist.

If you want to learn snatches, do so from a level 3 or above USAW coach..at the VERY least, level 2.

That's interesting. It seems almost identical to regular deadlifts except I don't hit my shins with the barbell.

clean pull deadlift = quads, regular deadlift more hammies
