First eggs are good for you then they're bad for you. Make up your mind, medical team!

Yup. May as well go stick your head in the oven now.

And coffee is bad for you, then probably okay, then okay if you drink no more than two cups a day, then so good for you that you should drink as much coffee as you want.

Saturated fat is about as bad as it gets, until the word out becomes that hydrogenated fats are even worse, and people who ate margarine for years would probably have been better off staying with butter (given the choice between these two).

And everything, in gargantuan quantities, causes cancer in lab rats.

Just a few examples of the reason that it's good to keep up with medical findings, but also good to take them with the proverbial grain of salt (um, bad for you?). And a dose of common sense mixed in with a bit of moderation wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I just don't even read these studies anymore. Most of us (me included) have no idea which studies are actually scientifically valid, and the opposite result will occur next year (or next month) with another study.

I like my eggs, dammit, and I am going to eat them!
