Did squats and back exercises yesterday.

I tried for 5 sets of 5 reps at 250 pounds.

Failed miserably from first set, could barely do 2 reps. Then had to crank the weight way down just to do the rest of the sets/reps.

Don't know why but my squats have been getting worse and worse. I've been doing the Russian Squat routine and it worked great first two times, but now just feel like crap and getting weaker, not stronger. I'll have to evaluate other programs.

Rest day (sort of). Spending family time with my sister and her demanding infant who wants me to be his entertainer, which requires dancing. Ever seen a 5'11" and 180 lb guy dance before .

Bike ride!

26.3 miles today. +1.7mi from last week. Not quite the 10% increase I was looking for, but I'm quite happy with it given the heat! Also felt much better overall, my legs still have power at the end unlike last week.

Running Day!

Today was my slow, easy day....

I jogged/power-walked a bit over seven miles in around 1 hr. & 40 mins.

I'm still trying to figure out the best use of my Sunday workouts. I do my long bike ride Saturday, so heavy legs are out. I do heavy upper body Friday, so it's a bit soon for that as well.

Today I decided to just do some Arms and Abs:

Barbell curls
Tricep press
Concentration curls
Tricep kickbacks
Hammer curls
Bench dips

Plus reverse crunches and planks.

I think I may ultimately use Sundays for arms/abs plus some light recovery work (some light goblet squats, etc).
