Now, I told you to take it easy when you are not feeling well. Why did you over do it ? Are you sure nobody called EMT, cuz 10 minutes is quite a long duration
This morning is still young. Yesterday I shoveled snow out of our driveway and helped the neighbor shovel theirs. Also got up on ours and neighbor's roofs and shoveled off about 18" of snow from each roof. Total time for all work....3 hours approximately.
Today I did legs. I usually like to take Saturdays as a recovery day, but this has been a somewhat irregular work and workout week, so I had to fit in a makeup workout today. Deadlifts, smith squats, leg press and hamstring curls, followed by 15 minutes on the rowing machine and some stretching and core work.
The highlight of the workout was when a guy attempted to "correct" my deadlifts. Unsolicited gym advice is always the best! I usually sumo with reverse grip. He tried to convince me to bring my feet together and go wider grip, and not to start with my butt so low to the ground, which of course would result in more strain on my back during the lift. I am generally a polite guy so I let him say his piece, and as he did so another guy who was nearby listened in. It just so happened he was one of the trainers and a fairly accomplished body builder himself. He told the first guy he was wrong and told he had been watching my form and that I was just fine. They bantered back and forth for a while and finally the guy who tried to give me advice eventually stormed off. Later he came up to me to bad mouth the trainer. Good times.
I haven't worked out in 3 weeks. I'm super sick right now and the weather is pretty bad so it looks like another week at least before I get back into the gym.
