Ran 8.4 miles, a personal best for me (in 1:15 averaged 8:57/mile). Not bad for being 55, but a long way to go training for two events - a sprint triathlon in August (.5 mile swim, 14 mile bike, 5k run) and the Army 10-Miler in October,

Bench press 8x235, 8x225, 9x205, 12x185, and 17x135. Plus other chest exercises and triceps. Technically that was all today after midnight but now I'm about to do shoulders lol.
Great home workout with my son today. Warm spring day, out on the deck listening to a Big Country album from 1983. We did alternating push and pull, mostly high reps.
1 A: weighted pushups (pushup stands, feet on low bench, 20kg, 30kg in plates on back)
B: pull-ups (regular + leg-assisted for me, +10kg backpack, 10-rep PR for the buff kid)
(three working sets)
2 A: flys (20kg dumbbells, 20-rep PR for me)
B: one-arm rows (38.5kg db)
(two working sets)
Went for a fast uphill walk this morning - perfect weather conditions, scenic mountain road all to myself. Walked up about one mile on a 10% average uphill grade in 14 minutes, 30 seconds. Stopped on the way down to practice various movements: split squats ("Bulgarian" with back foot propped on a railing), stepping up onto a rock wall, and martial arts kicks.
