got a compliment today about my toned arms I'm not really a vain person but I am very conscious about bat-wings. So I try to fight the clock as much as possible. Firm arms = just one reason why strength training is awesome.
really motivational when someone notices your efforts, isn't it?
Here's my 3 mile kayak route this a.m.....I also like to run (4-6+ miles) or bike (10+ miles) down on those roads regularly. Favorite running route since car traffic is minimal.
damn if I didn't twist my back out while loading the kayak yesterday and had to abort the run this a.m.......doesn't happen very often.....maybe I'll give the bike a try or just rest for 1-2 days....
had a short bout of depression thinking no exercise d/t back spasm....BUT....just got in 10 miles on the bike around the community at a pretty decent speed for a MTB....hope by Monday I'm feeling better. Perhaps a leftover muscle relaxer from previous injury? surprising how improved one's spirits are after some exercise......

I know the feeling of being down when you can no longer work out. hoping it isn't anything serious.
Worked out today earlier in the morning on an empty stomach. Won't do that again. Performance down, cardio wise. I had to dial back a level. Strength training was just "so so". About to hit the splash pad with the family and then later walk the dog. Another hot day in the T-X.
