Swimming, but only focused on one stroke this time - front crawl - purely for stamina. Was hoping for 30 lengths but only managed 23 before my arms gave up in protest.

Split workout as usual but my frustration in another area is starting to creep into my zeal for working out. Hubby joined me this evening, but only did cardio before calling it a day. So I called it a day too, no abs. Managed to get in shoulders and arms - did long pull (70 lbs), shoulder shrugs (45lb dumbbells), tri pulldown, delt raises (side and front), bicep curls, standing overhead press, and hammers/reverse hammers. Trying to get rid of the last 5 lbs from the pneumonia thing, tried seriously cutting (no cheat meals, lots of veggies) but my body just told me F you and isn't taking to a seven day deficit that well. Frustrating..it was "easier" to lose the initial 70 than to lose a regained 5 lbs. Grr.

Thanks - my upper body strength has always been weak, but has been improving over the last few weeks and months.

This morning - a practice half-marathon with a couple of friends, who are also competing in the same event next month. Nothing too intense other than to familiarise ourselves with the course topography.

DH and I now go to the gym with each other on most days, and not "matching" can be a pain. I'm the one who cuts out a little earlier than him, so I go do something on my phone, or bring a book, or stretch....

Weird you mention the 5 lbs. I want to lose that before our summer trip. I think part of the trouble I have is "it is only 5 lbs" so my discipline is less.

5 mile run. Getting a little warm again here in FL. Yesterday's high was 87 degrees. Humidity up. Runs aren't easy if you wait too long in the morning like I did. Reinforces need to pace myself for the half marathon on Sunday otherwise I'm going to be in trouble.
