Are there any isometric exercises you can do while driving?
I recline my seat back to 20 degrees and hold myself at a 30-degree angle. After my commute, my abs are freaking sore! I actually break a sweat just sitting there. Unfortunately, I get lazy a lot and catch myself slouching and using my back, or holding myself up by pulling on the steering wheel.
I'm just feeling really guilty after switching from a 1-hour bike commute to a 40-minute car commute. Anybody have any suggestion for exercises that won't endanger me or other drivers?
at a red light you can place your hands on your armrests and raise your knees slowly (together is harder than one at a time) toward your chin. Lower them slowly. Repeat until tired.
This is just dumb. There is no real exercise you can do in a vehicle. I am in a vehicle for about 5 hours a day with my new job. If you really want to exercise, park your car at a park and run there. I suppose you can do extremely improper curls and look insanely stupid doing it.
Its called time management. If you need to exercise in your vehicle, you suck at time management.
well i suppose its good that he/she has the initiative to exercise on any way. im just getting started but perhaps the first step is the willingness to do it. c',mon! the least you can do is be more encouraging than that.
I have a thick-padded sterreing wheel, so I squeeze it from time to time for 10 seconds, and repeat.
