Continue to work on lagging body parts (traps and quads, primarily).
Try a new lifting routine. Currently doing high volume, four times a week.
Find new trails to hike.
I'm down to a 20lb assist on the machine and can do a set of 5 pullups, followed by a set of 7 chinups, then a 3rd set of some other grip (sometimes, pull ups, sometimes chinups, sometimes hands together), then a set of about 5 dips.
Also, I'd like to do 50 consecutive pushups. And get up to 115lb on bench press (I can currently do about 90lb for 4 reps, on a smith machine) And maybe 100 straight burpees (with the pushup...never tried)
Less specific goals: lose some extra weight, get in better shape. Maybe start running?
1. Lose at least a half pound a week all year, on average, goal is actually 30 pounds for the year.
2. Work out with weights at the gym for 1 hour 2x per week
3. Swim a mile at the gym at least 2x per week.
4. Swim a mile in 45 minutes (best so far is 52 minutes)
1. Squat 455 with just belt and knee wraps
2. Bench 275 raw
3. Do a 200+ lb snatch
4. 20 pullups (full range, none of that kipping crap)
5. Stay above a 500 belt only deadlift
6. Get in better cardio shape by lots of hiking and more kettlebell/strongman conditioning
All of this would allow me to be in better shape now at 36 than I was at 26!
