This is one of those questions that should never be asked.

Well, shockingly I'm the complete opposite.

I OTOH feel its much more inspiring to exercise among others, but that's just me. I have learned many new workouts and improved my form by talking with people at the gym. Solitary gyms creep me out, TBH.

I am kinda shocked that anyone would criticize for a female appearing sexy because of their attire in a gym?? It seems to me judgements are made from a personal perspective and of course men are NOT trying to appear sexy/moncho with their bulging biceps and Tight t's/// Am I witnessing double standards with such a question??

LOL...IF witnessing offensive sexy women in a gym..Maybe whomever is offended best register into a same sex gym..and not get exposed to opposite sex at ALL!! Could make the workout much less stressful LOL

you're welcome. i recommend it actually, it makes me really happy lol.
Well, silly me. And here I thought this was a forum where I could contribute my thoughts on the OP. Oops.

I think you're way off here. The most critical of women's appearance is other women, so joining a same sex gym wouldn't help. Guys aren't offended, the problem is when some women wear sexy gym attire and them get mad if they catch a guy looking.

I also don't think there's a double standard - both guys and gals sometimes wear sexy attire to the gym. Difference is, guys aren't usually aren't apprehensive about women looking at them or checking them out, whether they go for the attention or not. I've never seen or heard guys complain about being hit on at the gym like women do. That's the difference.

I've never seem a guy wear a tight muscle tank that says, "Leave Me Alone", but I've seen and heard women wear tank tops that say that.

I frown upon attention seeking behavior, and I consider wearing skimpy clothing unnecessarily to be such. However, I certainly don't object to seeing a cute girl at the gym. I keep to myself and just do my workout as usual, but eye candy doesn't hurt. I probably wouldn't date someone that dresses that way though.

On the other hand, guys who take their shirt off in the gym are even worse to me. They're practically begging people to look at them. It seems to be a huge trend in Crossfit. Don't give me the "it's hot or helps range of motion" excuses. I played football with full gear in over 100 degree heat, and still competed just fine.

If woman dress provocative anywhere not just the gym and complain on being stared at or approached it's just stupid. It's like if a male would go down a neighborhood with gangsters and dressing in that style don't be surprised if you get run up on or a police officer suspecting you of something illegal. If you like dressing that way fine no one says not to. Wjust don't act surprised or pissed if you get "unwanted" attention. i mean if a woman with some ass wearing aome yoga pants walks passed me I'm not going force myself not to look.

The title of this thread bothers me. I myself am into fitness and hit the gym 5-6 times a week. What you would consider "sexy" I consider comfortable and breathable. I wear tights as opposed to "looser" baggier shorts because I don't want my undies shown to the world when I am on the ground doing ab exercises. Plus they are more comfortable and allow for better movement. I don't wear baggy t shirts to the gym because I sweat rather easily and more cloth covering my body will make me feel stifled. A lot of my workouts involve extensive movements (Burpees, star jumps, sit ups push ups and what have you) so I'd like to feel as comfy as possible which so happens to be tighter tops and shorts/Leggings. And no, I can safely say that at least half of us girls in tighter gym wear are not calling for attention of any sort - we are just there to do our workouts, unwind after a long day at work and just generally to work towards a nicer body so if you can't keep them in your pants, then that's your own issue
