I have a neighbor that drinks almost every night, smokes weed a few times a week, smokes cigs EVERYDAY.
Than I see him in FULL runners gear complete with BIG ASS sweat/head band on.
When I see him running in full gear, the only thing I can think of is, "he wants to be seen".
I find it laughable.
So what's your problem? At least he is getting exercise. Or are you one of those people who thinks anybody that drinks or smokes is a POS? I assure you he doesn't give a hoot what you think.
What's really funny is, all of the people that seem to be justifying what he's doing.
I'm not justifying, just not joining in on mocking him. Yes, he does some unhealthy things, but because he does, that doesn't mean he should just go all the way and sit on the couch eating bon-bons and never moving. People and their behaviors are seldom all good or all bad.

I was a long-time smoker/partier and also used to hike, bike, run regularly and do 10Ks...I don't see anything wrong with what he's doing.
Obviously it would be more acceptable to the OP if he was perfect in all regards...but I don't know anyone who is. Kudos to him for getting exercise, never a bad thing.
Never heard of the Hash House Harriers, that is interesting!
