There is a guy who is 53 and he goes to our gym and he has abs like a 20 yr old and im serious about that . He is a reasonably nice looking fellow but I talked to him once and he is definately stuck on himself ....I m a pretty good judge of charecter and I think any man who is 53 and is working out twice a day every day has a deep seeded fear of looking 53 , which he does not and I might be wrong but it does look like he has had some plastic done ...what do the rest of you think ? Im in my 50s and have been told I sure dont look it and have never had any work done . IM in the gym once a day 7 days a week just because im on a program to tone up so I can buy a new holiday dress since the holidays are coming up and that means holiday and work parties ...I just think it is sad that some people have never heard the term "age gracefully ". Accept the fact that you are not 20 something anymore and act accordingly . Usually when im toning im in the gym maybe 2-3 times a week but when I want to "power tone " for lack of a better word then im there alot .

Sure sounds like he is "aging gracefully" to me....what is your definition?....he should have a beer belly and no hair to be a part of your club?

Or is your problem that he is "stuck on himself"....you are in your 50s---are you just coming to the realization that humans are a vain and narcissistic species?

I also know humans tend be jealous-maybe that is the the root of your issue with this guy?

I do not get it - it is OK for OP to work out and "not look her age" but not for the other party?

I'm not a male. The status which mentions 'granny' usually gives people a clue.

I go to the gym to workout and maybe have a wee chat with a few people. Otherwise, I'm not concerned with guys who may try to be younger than they are.

You have said on this thread and another that you are in the gym 7 days a week. Now you contradict yourself?

Either the OP is jealous of the guy or he didnt respond to her the way she wanted him to when she approached him.

My reading comprehension is just fine, as long as the message is clearly-written. Wondering why you've said twice you go to the gym 7 days a week, and then denied it?
