Fat is excess energy stored on the body. If you want to bench press in order to burn that energy, as opposed to squats, or deadlifts, or rows or pull ups or hell, running, go for it.

You cannot spot reduce fat. Only way to reduce fat is to be on a caloric deficit and force your body to burn fat. And then it's a matter of genetics where you body uses fat from.

any sort of exercise can reduce belly fat, but chest exercises (bench pressing) isn't the most efficient. you need to target large muscles that burns the most calories (i.e legs) as many have already said, diet is key to reducing fat, add exercise, and accelerate the fat burning process.

Not to be insulting to the OP, but it amazes in this day and age that people still have no idea of exercise and nutrition. You can NOT spot reduce. If you want to lose fat / mass, you must be in a caloric deficit. If you want to gain weight/mas, you must be in a caloric excess.

Belly fat can be stubborn so some lipo may need to be done. I dont know what your current diet consists of but at your age, I would think you'd see a significant difference by cutting out fast food and soda.

To answer your question...no, bench press exercises will not reduce the chub on your stomach.
