I'm the opposite of you. In high school I could do 100 knuckle pushups on the concrete sidewalk (punishment at tae kwon do class) and a couple dozen pullups. I just tried just now and I can only do 20 pushups and 2 pullups. It's amazing how much strength a person can lose in 15 years.

Hell, I don't care what my body looks like, as long as I'm on top of the grass, I'm happy. I've got six grandkids, and I kinda want to be around for them.

Someone has to take them hunting and fishing

65 is HUGE !!!
65 push ups is pretty good. I can do about 140 right now and there's still room for improvement. Lifting heavy weights has really helped out here.

lets see the Op said he was 25 so he would score an 89 in the US Army. I remember when i was in struggling to hit the 40 minimum. But then the Drill Sergeants would keep that "one, one, one go all the way down expletive" count. After the latest attempt to get back in shape I was doing a self test now at 53 I can get about 48. A 91 score, maybe a Drill Sergeant can test me with nightmares of one, one one go all the way down ****head ringing in my ears.

I used to do 3 sets of 100 push-ups with a minute break between the sets. Id build my way up by adding a push up or two every few days. So for maybe Monday, Tues and Wed, Id do say 25 pushups, then starting on Thursday Id add one or two for the next few days.

Now Im lucky I can do 3 sets of 20 thanks to being a lil outta shape and a shoulder issue.
