Expect to hate exercise after using either program. I started out doing p90x and hated it. Went to the gym and love it. Been lifting ever since.
What is your goal?
I haven't used p90X3, but I have used t25, insanity, and p90X. Beachbody programs are no joke, but if I had to choose.... I would look at youtube videos to see the style of each instructor and determine who has a style you like best.
I prefer Shaun T to Tony Horton.... but I prefer insanity Shaun T to t25 Shaun T.... because he is more serious and with insanity, I felt like I was training for sports.
I'd also check your local craigslist for deals. You could probably get the original p90X for $40 or so these days considering it's so old! It still works wonderfully, though.
I like the Beachbody programs. They work and help those of us who need a calendar to help stay committed! However, the problem with BB is all of the dang supplements they want you to get. It's not necessary! I have bought all of my programs used to avoid their coaching pyramid scheme.
The whole company is making a killing convincing people that they are some kinds of experts putting together programs that any person could do on their own or with youtube. Just watch some tabata videos on youtube...you do that and weight training on a weekly basis and you'll be in better shape than p90XXX² or whatever.
I'm using P90x3-and I don't use the supplements. I've just completed block 1. I also have P90x and use it when I'm in between workouts..love it. I look better and I like Tony Horton.
Personally I'd rather put a bullet in my head then go to a gym...talk about a racket.
It depends on what you are looking for -personally I think P90x3 builds muscle and T25 is more cardio based. A lot of reviews on Amazon.com if you want to compare.
never saw the point to these kind of programs... just a waste of cash. You want to exercise, then know your limits and find exercises online and build your own routine...
or hell, you can skip that and go to a site like MadBarz and pick some of their MANY different calisthenic routines... They've got about 20 workouts for Beginners, Medium and Advanced trainees each and its all free...
Only equipment you may need to buy is a dip bar and a pullup bar, but even then you can just use furniture in your house for dips like I do (I do dips in between my washer and drying machines or couches) and you can find a creative way to do pullups outside.
edit* I'm not saying p90x or Insanity/T25 suck, as I enjoy watching the commercials whenever I see them on to see the transformations...
