RICHMOND, Calif. — A California woman was asked to cover up while working out at a Bay Area gym, after staff members say she was intimidating people with her toned body.
Tiffany Austin said she was excited to get back in shape after recovering from a recent car accident. After her doctor told her it was time to start walking more, she took a tour of the Planet Fitness Gym in Richmond. On Monday she officially joined the gym and was looking forward to her first workout – but that workout lasted a quick 15 minutes.
Thats Planet FitLess for you, not a real gym, they do not want anyone that is really serious about working out in there, the adverts pretty well say it all, and as far as a no judgement zone, that is BS to, they judge any serious lifter, male or female. For my self, I like to lift things up and put them down.
She is better off canceling as she did and finding a real gym
I heard about this on the local news. Planet Fitness should change its name to Fatty Fitness. I admire people who are really fit at my gym. They are an inspiration.
Her body doesn't look that toned to me - I was expecting a muscle woman based on the title. I just think she's too revealingly dressed for any gym - it borders on trashy. Maybe they were just trying to be polite.

I'd have an easier time accepting PF telling her the outfit was too revealing. That could at least be understood, especially if they have guidelines covering that in the paperwork new members sign. The fact that they asked her to cover up because it hurt someones FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG GGGGSSSSSSSSSSS is what gets me.
I get being sensitive to those around you but we put way too much importance on not offending everyone. Sorry, but people are way too sensitive. Feelings/self esteem are not the be all end all. If someone does something better than you it should inspire you to work harder.
Places like PLanet fitness want to sign people up, get that monthly debit going, and never see you again.
