My BF has a thing for women with large, muscular thighs. Mine are just average size but I want to get them closer to what he thinks is ideal This is probably the opposite of what most women post on here; I tried to do a search but the threads I found were on reduction. What are the most effective exercises that I can do to make my thighs more muscular? Mostly my exercise has consisted of running 3-4 miles a few times a week, but I want to add in weight training. Any advice for the gym would be appreciated.
By doing squats you'll "kill two birds with one stone." You'll get your thighs muscular and you'll also tighten your butt at the same time. You can do this exercise while you watch TV (like me ). Another way to work these two areas is by stair climbing. Cycling will get your thighs muscular, too, but doing squats is probably the best and fastest way. Nothing like a lady with great legs. Telling you.
Lunges are even better, especially for the butt. Squats are pretty dangerous, if you dont use a rack to "catch" the weight. Use the leg press machine instead.
