Yes, I doubt the arm wrestling would work. But I joked about it with my daughter and she seems to have her mind set on trying it.
Unless you are like the top .1% of women, you can rest assured that your out of shape husband will likely smoke you in anything weight training related, especially upper body.
Men are just naturally way way stronger than women..
If he's not overweight, what's the problem? I'd take your daughter's comment as a compliment to you, instead of a put-down of your husband. This seems like a manufactured problem.

Lol, no I am not gigantic and bulky. My husband is quite skinny though.

I think this all just caught me off guard and I am not sure what to make of it. But I don't mean to be mean spirited about about it.
Hi Pixie, Another idea might be one of the causes. For example, I "adopt" a couple of children each holiday season to give them clothing and items on their wish lists. I also teach my children about the importance of being appreciative of what they have and sharing with others. I haven't been able to participate in any marathons due to an injury, but I'm hoping to join one of the breast cancer or lupus walks/runs because I've lost family members to both those diseases. I donate time and money to various organizations that help survivors.
So, maybe you can get a family "community project" going and get your husband and daughter involved in a local walk/run.
For,what it's worth, the arm wrestling came out more or less even. My daughter barely won with one arm and they were even with the other. I Didn't try it myself.
I've been trying and trying to motivate my husband to go to the gym with me but he keeps making excuses. He isn't overweight, just not in the best shape.
Today my daughter joked that I look buffer than him after when we were working outside and he went into the house to get some drinks.
Any idea how I can motivate him?
Pixie
No action in the gym room, no action in the bedroom.
