Cyclists get off the road too. You are not a car. I see we have this covered, but just saying..
I agree cyclists shouldn't impede traffic anymore than they can help and should take considerable efforts toward that, but "get off the road?" Speaking as a cyclist, that'll be the day.

Don't troll. Every state in the country has a law on the book that disagrees with you. If a bicycle has to get off the road, where does a bicycle ride?
Please don't say sidewalk. I ride 18 mph. There is no way in hell I'm riding on a sidewalk. I will either kill a pedestrian, or kill myself when someone right-hooks me turning into a driveway.

On another note... I got pissed off today in the bike lane because a jogger was jogging in the bike lane. So I'm riding along at 18 mph and I have to merge into the vehicle lane to get around this jogger. Since when are runners allowed in the bike lane?

In most of the country: only if there isn't a sidewalk or path. If there is an adjacent pedestrian facility, said pedestrian was breaking the law (and not doing themselves any favors, but the idea of avoiding running on concrete is a different topic)
when i run, it is not in a congested area and on a fairly generous shoulder. too annoying to dodge all the cars and stopping frequently ruins my workout. i worked hard to keep a fast, non-interrupted pace for several miles at a time.
if i were to cycle for recreation, it would be in a somewhat rural area also for the same reason as above.
Check your local regulations to find out. Or just get mad.
