I have a friend who is maybe 15 pounds overweight. She doesn't workout and never has although she is active. Her belly has been getting bigger and she keeps asking what exercises she can do to shrink it. She doesn't want to believe me when I tell her abs exercises will not shrink her belly, she has to lose weight.

There is a guy at my gym who has muscles bulging everywhere. He does serious heavy lifting and I'd guess he's under 30 years old. He's a vegan and I know he eats healthy. Have no idea if he drinks.. I find it really strange that he has a pouch on him.

First, every one of these people are WRONG.

Its is just stretched out skin.

That is it. You cannot get rid of it but one way...tummy tuck.

Can you post pics of what you are talking about?

I sometimes wonder whether this body shape problem that people are acquiring, is just down to lifestyle, and remaining in a seated position for too long.

I thought that too when I lost nearly 40 pounds 3 years ago. The roll didn't want to budge and some people said it's just loose skin and you can't get rid of it. Not true. The only place the loose skin from weight loss has not gone is my 'batwings'. I know those will never go away no matter how much muscle I build in my upper arms.

I am an hourglass shape with slightly heavier bottom. My stomach is flat after having a child. I gain in my boobs and hips/thighs. I think you gain wherever you are genetically predisposed to.

I have it after having seven babies. No amount of diet and exercise will get rid of it. It's a plastic surgery issue now.

This is very true if you've had children as well. I didn't get stretch marks but my skin above my belly button was stretched after 4 kids, so it makes my button look sad face, yet my tummy flat ...Yeah a mini tuck what I was told fix it but I'm 50 hubby loves me ...
