Hey folks I wanted to share a quick experience with all of you and maybe get some feedback. I squatted bare foot today foe the first time in my whole life. I am 45 by the way. I know Arnold Shwarzenegger and some other great athletes did it back in the day and I considered doing it too but never actually did and I have to tell you that I loved it. It felt very smooth and natural, of course I did this at home. I think I might start squatting bare foot regularly from now on at least every other leg workout. I was wondering if anyone here squats bare foot regularly and what your results have been. I always understood that it helps with strength and balance as well and ankles but I want to hear from people here, thanks to those of you who participate in advance
I see people wearing those 'toe shoes' at the gym doing squats and deadlifts in them. I know that wearing flat, hard bottom shoes are best for compound leg exercises and I need to buy another pair for myself on leg days.
I wouldn't mind doing squats barefoot if I had the equipment where I live.

Geez, I never thought of that! You'd think with half a dozen pairs in the closet it would have occurred to me at some point.
