I've always had small wrists whether I was overweight or not. I don't consider myself "small framed" regardless of wrist size. I look positively gaunt when I'm below 140 lbs. In fact, the lowest I'd ever want to weigh is 145. I'm probably at my best weight in the 150-155 range.

You look amazing~~~

I'm 5'3 and very petite and small bones, I can't handle extra weight on my body frame I feel it! Having added lightweights along with my runner has really help with my muscle strength and has filled me out a bit as well was needed. Before added the weights I was really skinny looking and had no real upper body muscle strength at all and as a first time granny I'm thankful I took up weights because my grandson only 6 months he getting big fast and looks to be tall at that that...Otherwise I don't think I could carry him for hours on end etc without feeling it..

Once I added weights I went from 110 to 119 still a size 4 petite.

Then they probably have smaller wrist too. They likely still touch or overlap.

My thumb overlaps about a third of an inch.

You sound very similar to me I definitely don't have a small frame, but no matter what my weight...underweight and starved or overweight (unfortunately I've seen both and finally found what worked to be HEALTHY)...I always had overlap. I'm tall and have an hourglass shape. Not sure I could ever be considered small boned.

I have long thin fingers.

Right wrist is 7.5". Left is 7.25.

But fingers of left hand are longer. In fact, left hand can palm a basketball; right hand with shorter, thicker, stronger fingers cannot.

Each set of fingers overlaps the opposite wrist by a little bit but the overlap by the left fingers is slightly greater.

To get the gist:

*If the fingers overlap you're "small-boned" and would be on the lighter end of the scale.
*If your fingers just touch, you'll probably have a medium.
*If your fingers don't touch at all, you have a large frame or you're "big-boned".

Where do you fall? Sure, this may be pseudoscience and whatnot, but what the heck.
Mine don't quite touch.. I am teeny, 5'2" 118 pounds. Tiny hands and feet. My ring size is 4, and I can buy my shoes in the kids department. 😂
Not big boned at all.... just little.

I don't know if it has so much to do with weight as it does build size.

My wrists are 4.5" and I'm 5' 3" tall. They measure the same now at 127 lbs as they did when I was 105 lbs.

I am very uncomfortable physically with weight gain and every ounce shows on me.

I suspect I would have to gain A LOT of weight for my wrists to get larger, lol
