A woman had a little more than she could handle during a spin class, and now she’s suing. Kaila Cashman claims that she went to a SoulCycle class for the first time, and ended up hospitalized for a week and has permanent injuries.
Rhadbo is not joke, this was a huge controversy at the U of Iowa a few years ago. But yes, she simply could have stopped, although I can *kind of* see minor fault here if the instructor was the one adjusting her bike for her without her consent and he/she was in her ear saying she couldn't stop.
If the plaintiff here were to win this would open up a number of similar lawsuits and could see the decline of these group exercise classes. I think folks in the U.S. are far too litigious.
