Its true in my town as well. Lost of very fit women as well as men in their 40's, 50's and 60's even. But I live in a place where there are lots of fresh food choices, great weather for being outdoors, and a mindset of being healthy. Healthy living here is the norm not the exception.
I think we all know those statistics. However, that does not refute the fact that is it QUITE common to be fit and in shape, for 50 year old women today. Obviously not for the majority, but it IS much more common today, than 20 or 30 years ago.
I dont understand. Most people nowadays are overweight. WAYYYY more than 20-3- years ago. There are tons of statistics and evidence (just look around you ....). Most people are overweight by age 50 but you say it is more common today to be in shape by age 50? So you say the 1/3 that is not overweight nowadays is more in shape than the 80% that weren't overweight 20-30 years ago?

Yup, same here. I live in a wealthy smaller city in Florida with beautiful weather, beaches, lots of organic food, gyms, yoga studios, alt. healing, etc. etc. The majority of people take care of themselves and look great. I have many friends in their 50s and 60s that look unbelievable.
Lol all of the women over 50, heck over 40, in my workplace are overweight
Simply not the case where I work. There are some, certainly.
