However, if you're interested OP....ECA stacks are supposed to be effective (ephedrine, caffeine, aspirine), but ephedrine is now illegal in the U.S. I've never tried it, but if you're interested maybe check it out and do some research.
Ephedrine is not banned in the United States. I can walk right down the block and buy it from my local Walgreens. Some states (mostly in the Midwest) have banned the sale of it because it can be used as a precursor in methamphetamine production.

Ephedra (the herbal form) is prohibited from being sold as a supplement, but the drug form is still legal.

Oh I thought it was, my mistake. Any common brand name drugs that have it? Is it in the form of something like Bronkaid (I couldn't find Bronkaid in the pharmacies in NYC a few years ago)?

Bronkaid is the one I use. Primatene is another.

That said, I have used Hydroxycut Black but would never take the recommended dose of 4 capsules/day. That is far too much caffeine and, at least with me, the energizing effects reverse above a certain dosage and actually make me sleepy. There is also no good reason to overstimulate my nervous system, kidneys, liver, etc.

One capsule in the morning, 30 minutes before a fasting-state (no food beforehand) workout provides tremendous energy -- but anything more than that does nothing, or drains energy.

I can confirm that it does suppress appetite, but energy/appetite suppression is all it does. You still must exercise to realize any significant benefit.

Finally, it is best used if you are already in good health and physical condition, i.e., for those last few stubborn pounds. If your cardiovascular system is not strong or you are new to weight training or other heavy exercise, the energy boost could cause you to harm yourself through over-stimulation; or cause you to try and force your muscular system to handle loads you are not (yet) capable of managing.

Personally, I feel like no weight loss supplements is your best option. You don't need them and they can be dangerous.

Personally, I think the quickest, easiest path to weight loss -- and overall good health -- is a switch to a proper, mostly (say, 95%+) plant-based diet. The craving or perceived need for supplements will then disappear.

In my opinion, whey protein, supplements, fat burners is best thing to gain muscles and lose fat faster when taken in a proper quantity and also with a proper diet.

Be careful of any and all thermogenics (fat burners). They are bad for your overall health when taken excessively. I used to pop Ripped Fuel like candy throughout my 20s and now I am suffering for it (kidney, stomach, liver and heart issues).
Anything taken in a excessive quantity will harm you no matter how nutritious it is.

The funny thing is, in the fine print, they always say, "When used in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise"

Meaning, the diet and exercise is what is helping you lose weight, and not the bogus supplement.

I think they might hav a small impact on overall weight loss. But they do not help you figure out the right habits to maintain your weight loss once you are done with the pill. Do you want to take this pill for life (which it is likely not safe or even tested for long term use)?
