I don't know I think I am on track. Sometimes my body takes over tells me "yes" or "no" to run.
Did 3 weeks of long runs. Did a 10K race. Then 2 6 mile runs. Then a week where i planned to do a 7 mile run. However, felt good did a 7.5 and a 6.5 run that week. That was followed by a rest week. Ran 3 times. Did a 4, 3, and 4 I believe.
Went from 18 to 20 to 22 to 12. Hoping to do 24 miles this week total, but think I'll reach 23 miles.
This week started with a 3.5, a 4, and a 4.5. Running a 3 mile speed workout today. Gym Friday. Then an 8 mile run Saturday. Hoping I can do the 8. For some reason psychologically doubting myself.
It should be doable?
Also goal wise:
Running 8 this week with 24 mile week
9 next week 26 week
10 and 28
Rest
12 and 30
Then June and July staying at 12. With the second to last week in July looking to run a 14 and hoping to have a weekly mileage of 40. By Labor Day hope to run 20 miles.
If I have one really good run out of five, I feel fortunate. It's normal to fluctuate in how good your runs are, from day to day. The very best competitive runners have figured out how to minimize the mediocre days.
