I read all the mags, journals, etc and am hoping to get advice from real people instead of reading what I already know, but does not help me.

First of all, I am a hard gainer. I am small boned and it is difficult for me to put on muscle. If I do not drink my 2-3 shakes daily and lift weights, even miss just a week, I lose a tremendous amount of muscle.

I have pretty well leaned out, and my arms/legs/back have little fat and I've actually built some muscle! not easy to do for my body type, I have to eat 2000 calories daily and 100-120 grams protein for my 115lb body to hold muscle.

But I can not for the life of me get any abs! Unlike the rest of me, there is no definition what soever on my stomach/abs. Yes, I do plenty of cardio and eat fairly clean, and follow the suggestions that I read about.

Any suggstions? I'd like to be lean/muscular all over and just can't seem to build any abs!

Maybe its due to your genetics because it sounds like you're doing everything right. Im curious as to what TwiloMike would suggest as he always has great advice.

I was in the same boat for a while and thought I'd never get a 6pack until I started running and doing my cardio in the mornings. I also started following the routines in a book called "Complete Book of Abs". You may want to give it a try.

Thanks I will have to look up that book.

So do you break it up and do cardio in the mornings and weights later in the day? My problem is if I do too much cardio I seem to lose too much weight so I stick to a moderate amount. Not really a problem currently as I have a knee injury and I can only walk (not run) at a 10% incline for cardio- though that really does work up the heart rate.
