I love Wonder Bread but summer is on its way and I want to get complete abs. So I think I have to do away with the white bread. What else can I use to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? I was going to go with Rice Cakes but I googled and it said it has a high glycemic level.

Please help. Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are my go to snack.

Actually wheat of any kind is bad for you. Raises your blood sugar and puts weight on your middle. But you mention glycemic index. So would peanut butter that is the traditional one like jif because it has added sugar unless you get smuckers natural that has no added sugar. So would jelly which is also chalk full of sugar. There are many better choices out there.

If you really want a sandwich with pb&j consider making oopsie bread or sometimes known as cloud bread.

I plan on trying this soon. Keto bread by low carb yum. https://lowcarbyum.com/no-carb-keto-bread/

Get a bread with more fiber. Ezekiel. Whole wheat seeded. Wheat sourdough.

Lettuce wraps, like "green leaf lettuce". Or honestly, you could just make a peanut butter and jelly swirl in a small bowl and eat it with a spoon.

And then there's jicama. You could use that to dip peanut butter and jelly.

And of course, filling celery with peanut butter has been a long time standard.

Sad for you - I have my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches one piece of bread, folded over with the amount of peanut butter and jelly you'd have in a two bread sandwich. ;D

I don't think that you necessarily have to do away with the white bread as long as you aren't eating PB&J constantly and the rest of your diet is relatively healthy

White bread is not particularly nutrient-dense but it's not the unhealthiest thing that you can eat as a snack either.

I eat a healthy diet myself but also periodically indulge in the PB&J sandwich (except on wheat). I think that when we totally deprive ourselves, it's not good either.

I am having good luck getting rid of the winter pudge by simply stepping up the amount of exercise I do.

On the topic of bread, I fricking ADORE bread!!! This is one of my favorite brands and on top of tasting great, it's good for you

I used to work with someone who ate a spoonful of peanut butter when he needed a snack. We thought it was odd, but that was his way.

You could do something like a crustable without bread. Maybe spread some peanut butter on wax paper. Freeze it and then add your dollop of jelly and freeze that. Pull out your frozen snacks when you want them.

I would change your go-to snack. I snack on almonds or cashews, Greek yogurt, and fruit. Both the bread and jelly are not so good, and why eat peanut butter instead of actual peanuts or real nuts? I recommend cutting up a banana (or apple), putting it in a serving of Greek yogurt and sprinkling the top with cinnamon and some walnuts. Add whatever sweetener you feel won't kill you.

Dark bread. Whole seeds. Healthy stuff.
Something like that. You probably can buy it at your local grocery.
