Arnold is what, 80? Wonder how many gallons of Sustanon has flowed through his veins. Numerous other pro-bodybuilders and professional athletes on aggressive stacks and cycles at their peak have lived to ripe old ages afterwards. Numerous IFBB pros have retired from competition and had healthy children. IF steroid use had any link to an early death as tight as ... say the risks from cigarette smoking ... excessive alcohol consumption ... I think we would know about it. It wouldn't even be worth arguing about except that there is harm in being silent about the aggressive shaming of people who go out of their way to excel in athletic pursuits. Those who don't, get a false sense of security and ignore more obvious and causal links to an early demise.

Any update how he died? Have not found any but have not looked hard.

Performance drug use can assist, but can also be detrimental to health if abused. There is a laundry list of people like lifters and body builders, who have passed away early, their past littered with performance drug abuse. And if it is not an early death, than it is the three heart attacks before age 30 or liver problems or something. Cannot find it right now, but Wendler had an excellent article on it.

I thought that there was a pretty solid link to Heart problems?

The other thing you miss is that like most things in this world, there are winners and losers, the smart and the foolish. But, it really does seem like an abnormal number of high profile physique-type athletes (could be wrestlers, BB, powerlifting) meet an early death, often from Heart failure.

There is something to being able to monitor your health and having the means to watch it closely...Arnold can pay for the best Endocrinologists money can buy. Tino, who now works the door at SugarDaddy's Gentleman Club, might not have that luxury.

There are negative cardiovasular effects to steroid use when that use is done improperly. Someone who is using steroids intelligently with their long term health in mind should have no issues though.
