Quality chicken, beef, shrimp, salmon, and cod (protein) will always cost more than McDonalds, lunch meat, taco bell, ramen noodles, etc.

This is completely backwards. Animal protein is something to be avoided 95% of the time for the ultimate in health.
There's nothing untrue about it. Sugar and junk food is cheaper than quality healthy food.

Nothing is cheaper than junk food and empty calories.
Why do you think the poor are disproportionally fat in this country?

There is no way around it. Meal prep doesn't matter.
Again, the poor in this country are fatter than the rich. That's not a coincidence. Dollar menus and fast food will always be cheaper than bulk meal preps.
I watched the ones near me on benefits who constantly go over to our fast food pizza place.. now a pizza from there is about £6 some food more expensive and for that a family could have minced beef potatoes and vegetables for four... or similar cooked food.. To me its a form of ignorance and lazyiness to eat junk food so much, now and again is fine. A bag of four apples is £1 in the supermarket and large tub of low fat yogurt £1... squirt of honey and pudding for four....
