There is no doubt that music keeps me engaged in the gym.

What are your distance running soundtracks?
I have found some downtempo electronic to work well when doing 40 min plus runs.

What do you guys do or recommend?

Don't do it. You need your ears when you're out on the road. Use the music in your head, instead. I find that it's helpful to work out the chord changes on a tune while running.

I always listen to latin music when I'm doing cardio (including running). Electronica would be a close second. Gangsta rap/rap is great for lifting.

EDM for me when working out. The harder (trance) the better!

Can you suggest some good continuous EDM. Possibly deep house?

Hardcore for me. Cro Mags age of quarrel is my go to for 5ks.

At the turkey trot this year (4 miles) I will start with Cro Mags then switch to Candy "Good to Feel" LP...

For more jogs I'm digging the Fiddlehead LP, more melodic.

Each to their own. If I listen to mellow chill music (which I like a lot of) I run slow.

I had to go with music with a milder beat, otherwise my heart rate would go ridiculously high. But that's probably just me. LOL
