It usually takes a few weeks before it starts to get better. I have had this injury several times. I like to hike and the last time it happened in May, I held off for about two months to let it heal but was able to start doing other types of exercise more quickly.

Im finishing the third week.

I can now walk but if I make one wrong move I fall over. All my reflexes are causing me to make a wrong move...

I tried to sneak food in the middle of the night and tried walking on my tipptoes. Big mistake. I tried cleaning the shower and bent my foot while standing back up, omg ouch.

I was playing video games and stomped when I lost lol.

All these things really hurt my walking ability.

Im resting for the rest of the weekend

The bad news......Its going to hurt, if you overdo it you may cause more injury. As said before, Ice and rest are your new friends. You may need some physical therapy.

The good news, you are 31 years old. You will heal faster than some of us geezers. You are still mobile although at a reduced capacity.

I volunteered this weekend for 4 hours and walked through the pain. I then went to the post office and out to lunch with a friend.. that was saturday.

Friday i went to stores to shop.

Today Monday my foot feels like it was just injured again. Its swollen, painful beyond hell..

Uhg. I feel like i took 3 steps back.k
