But whatever you do stay away from any form of sweetener whenever possible. Refined sugar and corn syrup are the worst things you can possibly put in your body that isn't directly poison.

I have no documentation about this, other than the way it affected me personally, but I suspect that concentrated pear nectar used as sweetener in "sugar-free" canned fruit, may have the same unhealthy qualities as high-fructose corn syrup. The dehydration process may be changing the structure of the sugar. For a time, I regularly ate fruit cocktail with the pear nectar and had periods of agitation, followed by feelings of low-energy and nausea. This ended when I quit eating anything with the pear nectar. I think this should be investigated and authenticated, if it is true.

Sugar free Pear Nectar usually contains Sucralose (Splenda). Your body processes it like it would refined sugar. Hence the agitation, low energy.

Its frighting how many food items have sugar in them. Foods you normally wouldn't even think would need sugar.

No. Carbs break a fast.

Intermittent fasting is about the body burning fats before carbs. If there are no carbs, it burns fat.
I’m like you though. Black coffee only.

According to https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wik...sting_and_keto, calories break a fast.

I just ate my one meal for the day, so I am full and content.
