99% Water is absolutely the best thing for you. I will, however, occasionally have a zero calorie soda. But I also drink red tea quite a bit.

I drink water most of the time. But once in a while, I enjoy a nice alcoholic drink with my husband.

Default Keep Fit - Don't Drink Calories!

Good advice.

Sugary carbonated soft drinks are probably the worst, with all that high fructose corn syrup.

I'm overweight (work out though, working on it) and as much as I would kill for a slushie I go without.

I have dreams where there's a slushie/Icee machine in my house and I'm literally mouth open underneath the dispensers going crazy. lol

It's water 99.9% of the time.

I get those calorie free Kool-aids that you mix with a cup of water if I want to treat myself.

Cherry flavored? No cherry, no deal!

I see this all the time. Many Starbucks drinks have well over 1,000 calories, and fast food meals can be over 1,500 - 1,800 for a burger, fries, and a Coke. I see people at work do this all the time, plus they eat something with the Starbucks "coffee" for breakfast. So by afternoon they are already over 2,500 calories, sometimes even more.

Not necessarily- my cardio workouts burn 600-700 calories (about 1.25 hours, calories burned displayed on the machines, which do incorporate weight into the calculation). The protein bars I buy are around 200 calories. I agree, though, that it's very easy to wipe out the calories burned in a workout if you don't watch what you eat/drink.

Please read the following article for explanation to why diet coke is actually worse than regular. Don't get me wrong, they're both bad. But the diet stuff's secondary effects make it worse.

https://www.businessinsider.com/diet...for-you-2013-7

Here is a paragraph from that article.

Edit.

Why not just avoid coke overall and drink water 99% of the time?
Simple. I don’t want to be limited to drinking water.

As for your article...it’s as I stated:

“The data Swithers examines does not establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship between sweeteners and obesity, it simply sees a strong correlation between sweeteners and obesity, it simply sees a strong correlation — just as strong as we see with regular soda. There could be other explanations.

For example, it may be that using artificial sweeteners changes people's behavior in other ways — some might think because they are drinking a "diet" soda, they can afford to eat an extra helping of French fries.”

Alcohol (wine) very seldom.
Hey, leave a girl her 1 Pepsi a month! I eat healthy, I am a vegetarian, I don't eat candy and etc...I drink 99% water.... I jog, do aerobics, and yoga.... I just look forward to and cherish my 1 Pepsi can a month... It would be inhumane to take it away from me!
