I purchased a chin up bar on Amazon for 30 bucks or so. I am trying to lose weight as an older guy. The only issue is the bar is in door way on my feet hit the ground. Im basically doing "cheated pull ups " and lat pulls . I can also get good bicep work out in

I think you're supposed to bend your knees while doing them.

Bending your knees would only make sense if you were using a doorway pull-up bar like the other poster. I would find it very uncomfortable to bend my knees while doing pull-ups. I need a relatively high bar since I'm 6'4".

Just hanging is called brachiating. One doctor in particular (I forget the name) touts it as a cure-all for rotator cuff problems, stenosis and other ailments related to humans no longer brachiating as they did when they were apes (assuming you believe we evolved in this manner).

I did it for quite awhile and decided it was doing more harm than good. You can also brachiate your upper body while having your feet lightly on a stool.

120 seconds is a sucker bet. 60 seconds does seem like forever.
