1) Power rack for < $300
2) Multipurpose bench for < $200
3) barbell + ~300lbs of weights (4x45, 2x25, 4x10, 2x5, 2x2.5) for < $300
4) accessories (collars, horse stall mats, safety straps, whatever) for < $200 total.
Done. Literally every body part can be crushed for strength, endurance, hypertrophy, whatever. Start getting beastly, and you can add more 45s as needed.
Pec dec - pass
Leg extention - pass
upright row - pass
you could get by so much better with a small set of dumbbells and a bench, maybe some bands, bodyweight exercises etc.
you don't need every dumbbell in the line, use pre-exhaustion, 1.5 reps etc. Your muscles aren't mathematicians, they don't know how much your lifting.
Eh, they kinda do though. Lifting heavy is THE biggest cheat there is for guys. I literally went from working out 10 hours a week doing cardio and high rep sets, watching my diet, struggling not to gain weight when I ate unhealthy for a week... to ditching cardio, lifting heavy weight, and now I eat whatever I want whenever I want to eat it and don’t gain a pound. The mix of HGH and testosterone created from heavy lifting with the afterburn effect and also more muscle mass that burns calories creates a furnace that food is no match for. It’s like cheating. I added back in 15 minutes of high intensity cardio for fun because I work out during sports games at home anyway, but my resting heart rate was already 54 even without cardio. When I’m doing cardio I can get it to 47.
I wish I could help OP but my setup was around $7,000 I believe. I do mostly use free weights, however. The pulley system is great for warmups and cool downs, it doesn’t do much besides. I have Bowflex dumbbells that are adjustable, one set 5-52.5 (2.5 lb increments up to 25) and one 5-90 (5 pound increments). Then I have a combo bench press and Smith machine, but I really only use the free weight bench press. Smith machine is fine for squat warmups or tricep bench press if you wanna mix things up.
I guess the joke's on me, I used to make fun of getting home equipment but in light of recent events, I think a lot of people who were like me are now scrambling to get something to workout with at home.
Many places are sold out of gym equipment and there's a huge markup on third parties selling them

Same. I just forked out $130 on a pair of fairly light dummbells this a.m. out of desperation. My guess is gyms won't re-open until at least late fall, that's being optimistic, and I just cannot go that long without lifting. I might just add weights/benches/etc. here and there and not try and build it up all at once. When the gyms re-open I'll re-sell them all to hopefully make up some of the cost.

Even the cheap bands are sold out or backordered in most places.

I just bought a set 2 weeks ago, advantage being I can double and triple up for heavy lifting.
The hardware store has also been a cheaper alternative for squatting.
I took a board large enough to stand on, and attached those eye screws through it; can be used for deadlifts as well. Carabiners definitely help with attaching bands.
Which reminds me of a somewhat comical gym fail I once saw.
A guy decided to use an aluminum colored one meant for keys and such, these of course are not designed for weight bearing. It failed, bar hit him in the nose; and broke it.
Best wishes on your new home workout journey.

Thanks! I heard someone online recommend bungee cords as well as replacements for the bands.
