There's not much difference between sweats for women and sweats for men and I don't think anyone has stopped making sweats for men.

Home Sense/Winners has stylish coloured sweats for women and they're really nice ones too. Lovely soft fabric. Mind you, I don't know if you have Home Sense/Winners across the border???

Oh, I just checked and yes it's in USA too, called only Home Sense.

Sweats for women are everywhere, they just don't call them that anymore. They call them "loungers", "joggers", and anything but sweats, which have come to have a sloppy, negative connotation.

These days, high-end designers have joined the bandwagon, and make nice, casual ensembles, that are well-tailored, and don't resemble the sweatsuits of past eras. Nowadays, people look well-dressed in them, rather than sloppy. They can look jaunty.

Sweats definitely still exist for women, but I can think of few things less comfortable for cardio for me! My inner thighs hurt at the idea.

I wear them when going on walks/jogs outside in cool weather or to lounge around the house, but nowhere where I anticipate sweating. My gym experience of choice is spin class, and I feel like I would sweat enough that the drawstring wouldn't hold up for me! But that's just the thing - everyone has different clothing that they find comfortable for the activities that they're doing.

Nope. They're not available "everywhere". The stores I shop in do NOT sell them. I have looked. We all don't shop in the same stores.

Oh my word. I cannot imagine wearing sweats doing a spin class. Holy chaffing Batman!

Which part of I’m female don’t you understand? I have hips! Boys clothes do not fit either. Women’s clothes are cut differently to allow our hips to fit. Why on earth would I wear men’s or boy’s clothes when I’m a woman? I wouldn’t.

It's okay! You don't have to wear them. Each to their own, right? and nobody should have to wear anything they're unble to feel either physically or emotionally comfortable in.

I think that whole concept of women wearing whatever is most comfortable for working out in is the concluded premise of this thread anyway. Some women are most comfortable in skimpy outfits and others are most comfortable in a variety of other things. Whatever suits one's needs. It's all relative.
