I have been a member of Curves since 2003
I have also been a member of two very high profile gyms

I would have to say that my workout at Curves is much higher in intensity, I sweat , I work the hydraulic machines at a very fast pace and feel great when I am finished

Its not just for "beginner" excerciser's yes there are many older women who are there for a little excercise and a lot of chat but hey at least they are there right

You decide if talking is part of your workout, for me personally no I don't make it part of it, I am there for the workout and the stretches and thats all

It IS what u make it

I have lost 63 pds and 45 total body inches and decreased my bmi to about 23.5

I was a Curves member for a few years. At first I went three times a week like clockwork. Then I stopped going for a few months, started again and then stopped - this time for good. I kept paying for over a year, thinking I'd go back, but I never did. Unfortunately, I didn't replace it with any other exercise program, which is why I now weigh 135 (when I was going to Curves reguarly, I got my weight down to 120, and I looked a lot better than I do now!). I guess I just got bored and unmotivated, but that has nothing to do with Curves itself. Like anything else, it depends on how much you use it, and how dedicated you are. Yes, ladies would chat a lot there, but I was focused on working out so I didn't talk that much.
