Which do you find the best and most comfortable for indor exercise during the winter months, a Stationary Bike or something like a CycleOps fluid trainer?

My only concern on the fluid trainer is, doesn't it wear out things like the gears?

For those who prefer the fluid trainer, is it easy to change bikes, like me and my wife's?

Thank you

I would rather use a trainer, if I absolutely had to ride indoors. Fortunately, in Dallas, we ride outside year round. On the trainer you are in your optimum riding position, resistance is changed by changing gears. The only things that go worn out were tires and myself. Keep your chain, lubed a clean and put on a cheap tire. YOu could try rollers, they are fun.
