Does anyone have or use the tread climber? It sounds good, but does it live up to its advertising? Your thoughts?

I've always wanted to try one of these. Too bad my gym didn't order one when they ordered new cardio machines.

I am very curious - it looks like it might be easier on your body then running but still give you a good workout. Anyone tried it? Anyone own it or know how much it costs?

This is known as the killer machine in the gym. It works all too well, the machine will leave you breathless. Have you ever tried walking up 40 flights of steps non-stop. This is what the machine does for you. You have to use your leg muscles to walk up flights of stairs non-stop.

Ok so do you really see results or are you wiped out in 2 minutes so you can't even get your workout in? Are there levels on this thing?

I currently have a treadmill but I have always seen these machines and they seem really nice. I used to do the stair stepper at the gym and I really liked it. This looks like the best of both worlds.

That's what I was thinking and it looks like it could be a great way to have a power packed cardio workout in less time with less stress on your joints.

Anyone know what it costs?

I saw some places online that had them advertised for $2,000 but you can go right to the source and pay $3000 for one. I thought that was kind of crazy but that is the price of paying a payment each month.

It will be a LONG time before I have the money to buy anything like that.

that's a bit pricey considering we invested in a spinning bike for about $1,000. I wouldn't mind spending $1500-1600 but twice that is not worth it. I could do better with a gym membership. Besides, all the mechanics scare me a bit, I wonder how they do with upkeep? Thanks for the info tho.

We have a thing called a penny saver, I am going to look in there because I have seen exercise equipment for sale for cheaper with people who are moving.

My problem is that I know from experience I am not as likely to make use of a gym membership. I like to get on the treadmill in front of the TV and walk for an hour. I used to tell myself that I couldn't watch my soaps until I had walked an hour. BUT it does get boring.
