yep, hip flexors. No idea what to do about it, but um, yeah. Go to a physical therapist.

I battled Hip Flexor pain the past couple weeks (As I just returned after long absence). Could not run longer than 8 minutes without eventual strain & then difficulty to walk normally

1. Enter gym
2. Bicycle for 6 minutes
3. Stretch. Do your normal stretches but add in a few extra for the hip flexor side that's hurting (Only my left hurt)
4. After run stretch again

But you also need to stretch throughout the day (Also morning & night). I spend alot of time sitting in a chair, so this has made my muscle weak.

Everyone knows these two

This is good if you have a bench/bed available. You are stretching the leg that is hanging over the side

This is good for a flat surface. Leave your leg still at an incline as pictured. But after 30 seconds slowly move your leg 20 or so degrees up and down for 5-10 seconds

But basically you need to strengthen your muscles in the region and that is done by working out your legs. I did a light leg workout (with machines) and although it was difficult to walk (nothing to do with the hip flexor) for a few days. After that I could tell my hip muscles were stronger and all has been perfect since. Tonight I ran for 25 minutes before the region started to feel a bit of discomfort so I stopped. Day by day it's been improving. Eventually my leg muscles and core will be good enough
