Greatest invention in the last 25 years? Stairmill.

Ipods and MP3's are okay, but they are nothing more than an easier way to do what people were doing with CD's and cassettes for years. The only reason that I can't do without mine is because the music at the gym SUCKS!!!!!

Stairmill is my pick though, GREAT invention.

Greatest invention?

The awareness that taking care of your health/diet/fitness will let you reap tangible benefits, several fold. The human body is the best invention, ever

It took me until my forties to realize that.

While driving to my favorite running trail this morning, I realized about halfway there that I forgot my Nike Plus sensor so I turned around to come home to get it. Instead of going back to the trail, I went to the gym (Equinox Fitness) and noticed that EVERYONE there had on their Ipods. Sure the gym has about 25 plasma tvs plastered all over the walls and music pumping through speakers but everyone seems to prefer to have their Ipods in their ears when working out. Even all the treadmills, ellipticals and exercise bikes have special outlets specifically for Ipod connectivity.

Even while talking to a lot of my friends today about this, they all said that they prefer working out with their Ipods on and that they seem to get greater motivation and more energy for their workouts with Ipods compared to without.

What does my fellow CD-ers think about this?
I don't have an Ipod. I don't care for the PITA that iTunes is, so I doubt I ever will purchase one. I do, however, carry an mp3 player, and have, for about 5 years - long before the iPod was born. I'm on my 2nd one...this on is a Sansa Clip, and yeah...I rarely ever hit the gym, or the street, without it. I LOVE my music - always have.
