My stomach is the only place where I seem to store fat, and it's annoying me. I love sweets too much to give them up entirely. I'm not very active. I own some cardio equipment, but I don't really use it much. What do you all think is the best way to lose belly fat?
Cardio, cardio and cardio!! You have to eat much healthier, give up the sweets as much as possible and a lot of the 'white foods'.
I was afraid someone would say that! I did do a little cardio today, but I find it hard to motivate myself on a daily basis. Guess I will just have to try harder if I want the belly to start shrinking...
It could just be water bloat. There are a few things you can do:
- lower your overall body fat
- make your diet more towards a low carb way (not low carb just not high carb)
- eat less proccessed food
- your only beverage : water and that is it
- break up your meal if you do not already
- ensure you are getting enough fiber and fat in your diet
- work the entire ab area. A "gut" may just be a flabby ab area.
Good Luck...and sometimes if you are on BC, thats why you have it. It would not hurt to have a check up too. Female issues that run silent distend that area.

Definitely start lifting some weights. Lift heavy to where you fail by reps 8-12. If you can do more than 12 reps with the weight, then its too light.
Also up your cardio as well. Try some HIIT High Intensity Interval Training.
