Sony's suck. I brought 3 Sony's and not only did they not stay in my ear, the right side would go out after 4 months of usage. Nice waste of 20 bucks three times over. I purchased them on Ebay but retail was $60. And no, they weren't knock offs because I purchased the same ones retail years ago. The quality of sound is great on Sony's but they do not last if you are working out or running.

Try Radio Shaft, er, Shack. They got some cheap ones. The ones from Apple are too expensive for what you get. But the thing that bugs me is some races do not allow earbuds. I signed up for one, then found out about it.

These Panasonic headphones are great:

http://di1.shopping.com/images/pi/95...015257&r=2

They're the kind I have. These look pretty much the same as mine (only differences are color - mine are all black - and mine don't say RP-HS22... mine just say Panasonic) .

I love them for two reasons.
1) They wrap around the top of your ears. You can run, bounce do whatever, they'll stay on your ears. Great for someone like me, who has small earholes and can't use iPod earbuds. You can adjust how tightly they pinch your ears. If you buy them, you'll see what I mean.
2) These are NOT earbuds that go directly in your ears. I think those are hard on the ear drums, to be honest. As you can see from the picture, these are round, flat, and rest right over your ears. Sound is just as good... if not better, IMO, as earbuds.

The previous brand I bought were earbuds made by Philips. They went directly into your earhole, and also had a little thing that wrapped around the top of my ears to hold them in place. But sound quality was not as good as the Panasonic ones I own now.

You can find them in any Wal-Mart or Target. They were about $7 or $8.... in that range. Definitely under $10.

If you want the best earbuds for running, check out the Sennnheiser PMX80 Sport Neckband Headphones. Since I have had them they haven't fallen out of my ears once, and they are comfortable even on long runs. I also love the fact that they are water resistant since I have had 2 pairs of Sony earbuds die on me from sweat. Even though they are around $60, they are totally worth it. I bought mine at www.PodBuds.com.

So what does everyone workout/run in?
Consider these phones......
Amazon.com: Philips Sports Headphones: Electronics

I bought this pair (there $10 now) two years ago for use while I work outside or ride my bike. They stay put no matter how sweaty I get plus since they sit "on the ear" you can still hear sounds around you for saftey.

I use the JVC Marshmallow brand. They conform to your ears and don't do any bouncing like those dreaded Skull Candy brand.

Default Love these Earbuds!

I use the XBud - from http://www.EnviedX.com
For $17 you cant beat the sound quality! The bass and clarity
is awesome! I hate to say it but I compared them to my roomates Bose & V-Moda earbuds and thought the XBud actually sounded better! They are dope for working out to they stay in my ears good... they block out the sound really good! Only drawback is they only come in once size with silicon eartips but they fit my ears perfect so no worries!!!

I agree!

Fine for use in the gym, but dangerous outside.

Sony Ear Clip Headphones

Under $10, good sound and sturdy enough for me to continue using them year after year while hiking and also riding my motorcycle. They are flat enough where I can easily take my helmet off without pulling on them and they do not put any pressure in my ears. Constantly wrapping and unwrapping the cord and it still works for a long time.

I don't know about other Sony models but this one works great!
