I think you just answered your own question of "am I getting fat?" from you noticing you "upper arms getting fatter".

Hmmmm....... "arms are getting fatter...." "....feel like my hips are spreading...." - Could you be pregnant?

Um, if you look @ my profile you can see for yourself...I'm not pregnant. I just feel like I'm gaining weight, I'm pretty stressed out these days...

Oh. Just saw your profile. Definitely NOT pregnant.

Stress causes more health problems than almost anything else. Causes weight gain in some, weight loss in others. What I would do is:

1. Immediately go to a clean eating/nutritional plan.

2. Find a "stress reliever" like get a hobby, watch fish swim in a fish tank, do yoga, breathe (full inhale, full exhale - push your stomach just below your belly button out when you inhale, and draw it back into your body as far as you can when you exhale) or better yet, just find some moderate intensity activity that you enjoy - tennis, running, jogging, hiking, etc. just to get moving.

3. Find a way to deal with whatever is causing you stress.

Numbers 1 and 2 are easy, number 3 not so much, but at least you can get started on 1 & 2 right away until you tackle number 3.

Your so hott. Anyhow, in regards to your question, the best thing to ward of flab is to lift weights.

It's a simple solution but many girls don't like lifting weights; but my argument is that you have no choice because in today's culture our jobs don't require us to do much physically. Also, like LaoTzuMindFu said, clean up your diet. Find a local Trader Joes if you can and start shopping there.

Wide hips are GOOD! Keep them! Why do women insist on becoming skinny? It's not attractive.

As for arms, usually if you tone up the arm muscles that will make them look much more solid and firm. So maybe so some weight training for your arms.

As for losing weight, we all know how to do that. Diet, lots of cardio.... done.

I just look at your profile, you look as weak as a kitten, you really need to do some strength training and put on a little muscle.

Your upper body gets fatter when you get older. Your boobs may start growing next. (no kidding) I had NO weight at all on my upper body in my under21 years. After 25 I put on weight, lost it, but I am more hourglass than pear-like now. If you started going out drinking more often the pounds can really sneak on with that lifestyle. Just know the calories you need and what you are eating. Google "spark people diet" That can set you up with diet and exercise guides. (its free too)

To properly help you I would need to know diet and habits in terms of exercise or if you're one of the types that is into weekend drinking as you said you're 21. You probably need weight lifting for toning, cardio, a change in routine and diet...probably some new friends too.
