Great exercises for the inner thighs:

1. Pilates (lot of the laying on you side type workouts where you have to left your legs a lot, do help tone the inner thighs).

2. Squats (do lots of squats)

3. Lots of walking (walk at least 5-6 days a week for 90 minutes)

4. Jogging (jog at least 5-6 days a week for 30-60 minutes)

deadlift and squat do inner thighs. And you actually have to do it. Doing like on TV where they use 20 lbs is just spinning your wheels if its easy its not doing anything. You need to use several hundred lbs.

You would have to work up to that weight. I suspect most people would permanently injure their back if they tried to deadlift several hundred pounds.

No they won't. I could do 415 lbs when I did it the first time. Maybe its because most people avoid lifting things off the ground at all cost and I used to go in the woods and play with 250-300 lb rocks looking for bugs and worms and stuff.

Sorry, I find that difficult to believe. You are saying the very first time you ever did a deadlift you lifted 415 lbs? At what age were you then? Have you improved? If you could lift 415 lbs the first time you should be able to deadlift 600 or so after a couple of yrs training. Can you?

Nonetheless I stick to my statement. MOST people would be risking injury to start deadlifting at 415 lbs. Joint damage can take a while to heal. Sometimes it doesn't heal right. Most people I know give up just trying to drag 300 lbs across the floor.

That's not to say your original suggestion of deadlifts is bad. But my recommendation for most people would be to start out with a weight they KNOW they can handle and work up. Besides, the original thread is about inner thighs. There are better exercises than deadlifts for inner thighs.

BTW: I hunt bugs & stuff too. I was hunting blisterbeetles today. That involves climbing hills. No luck today.

No I do 615 but I usually tell people I can only do 150 thats what they expect to hear. Even though I weigh 215 I normally tell people I am 160 thats what they expect to hear.
