Most people think I'm younger (like around 23-27)!! Thanks!!

One guy, about 3 years ago, was in this tavern in downtown Prescott. I happen to sit next to him and ordered a drink. He looked at me and said, "Wow! You sure are cute and gorgeous. How old are you? About 19 or 20?". I said, "Well, if I was that young I wouldn't be allowed to get a drink or sit in here now would I?" and he was like, "Okay, I see". I said, "31 years old". He couldn't believe it. He said, "No way! Where's all the weight gain and such that I see in most women that age here??". I told him that I workout all the time and take care of myself good. He said, "Well, whatever it is you're doing, keep it up!" And he bought me a drink.

But that was like the youngest age anybody thought I was.

To be slightly un-pc: white people think I am 10 years younger, black people see me as being a 37+ year old woman who is physically fit. (I don't feel I have a large enough sampling to address other races.) I think it's a wrinkling issue, that whiter skin wrinkles far earlier than darker skin.

I find it very odd when I see very fair skinned people who are middle aged who walk around in the sun with little tank tops, no sunscreen, and their exposed torsos and arms marked with large dark sunspots.

That happened to me a few months ago. I just laughed. I get carded when I buy lottery tickets too. One store owner told me "sweety you have to be over 18 to buy lottery tickets" I'm 33.

Some people are guessing that I am 14, 16, or 17 years younger than my actual age. I guess this is reassuring, although slightly bizarre.

On the other hand, others guess that I am only 7, 8, or 10 years younger than my age.

Do people guess your age correctly? Approximately anyway: say, plus or minus 3 years of your actual chronological age?

Second, for those of you who often get others to guess you are younger than your chronological age, what are you doing right to get people to guess younger?
Just an observation, people who act immature and self absorbed are often mistaken for a younger age.

Nope. They always guess around ten years younger.

I don't smoke, drink, or expose myself to too much sunlight/sunshine.
Don't ever diet. I've seen so many people (male and female) ruin their metabs and figures through dieting. Just eat every few hours and engage in activity whenever possible.
I'm lucky and have to thank my dad for his/my high metab. I've always been a big eater. And, although I could stand to lose ten pounds, I'd rather enjoy my food.
I think it's best to avoid stress, too.
Unfortunately, I have loads of that. But, I don't want to look too young anyway !!

P.S. I freaked a person out yesterday mentioning my twenty years of being married. And no, I wasn't a kid when I married either!!

These days with Kenny Rogers and the like, I always make sure to mention that I am youthful looking without any help from doctors, etc.

I want credit for these genes! LOL!! Thanks, Dad!

Most people usually think I'm 5 - 10 years younger. Though the greying at the temples is starting to show my age, I'm not concerned. I won't resort to any "Just for Men" tactics to preserve my youth. I'm happy where I'm at.

People think I'm younger than I am--apparently I don't act old enough. Like I should be straining more or be unable to do the work I do at my age.

People think I am younger... I take care of myself but am certain it also has to do with good genes.
