They are uping the power! 1350 hp w/ 264mph. Yeah it says rumormill, but with the race of horse power, I wouldn't doubt this. Where can one drive this thing on the open road? I'd try to open it up as far as I can take it!

A Bugatti Veyron taken to 250 mph.

A full tank runs dry in 12 minutes. The tires only last 15 minutes.

I don't doubt it can do that speed. However, you'd need a long straightaway to get it to full speed. A perfectly flat straighaway, can you imagine hitting a bump at those speeds?

Is this a response to the US making the Shelby SCC Aero which has been documented to be faster than the original Veryon?

LOL no doubt at those speeds a bump would make it more a airplane than car

At the price of the cars, I'm sure the person could afford to build a long straight strip to race their car. At 250 mph, I don't think I'd want to be in the driver's seat, any little twist of the wheel could be deadly.

Believe it or not, there are a few in our local car club but due to the expense and sheer attention the car grabs, they rarely bring them out. I personally do not know how the owners do it, I would just be too tempted to go WAY to fast in it no matter where I was.

Here is a picture from the last event that I remember one being at:

It is a pretty neat club but I must admit we do not have these $1M cars in great numbers at all events but we do see them. This picture was from a Supercars event with only high line supercars.

Overall, the way, I look at it, is seeing these vehicles keeps me motivated to never settle and keep trying to get more and more. I need an Enzo and Carrera GT one day!!
