Some sections of West Palm Beach Florida are noted for extravagant people and their lifestyles which are way overboard for the regular guy lke myself. I use to get treated for my injuries I received in combat at the the VA hospital twice a week in WPB and often noticed a gentleman driving a Maybeck. That Maybeck is just a really well appointed auto and lots of dough too. I noticed only 1 McLaren but I guess not every crazy rich family in Florida likes drivng a fast and fatanstic auto.
My favorite auto is the BMW M-3....Too bad for me because I just can't afford to own one....
Location: Upstate NY for now. Hanover, New Hampshire come the fall.

BTW, the Aston Martin DB5 has been voted the "Most Iconic British Car Ever" by a certain news agency (Google Aston Martin DB5)
The top ten Most Iconic British Car Ever are
1 Aston Martin DB5
2 Jaguar E-Type
3 Mini Cooper
4 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
5 Austin Mini
6 Rolls Royce Phantom
7 Lotus Elise
8 Lotus Esprit
9 Bentley Blower
10 AC/Shelby Cobra (ANI)
I agree with this list. I'd love to see the DBS up there someday.
Maybeck just does not have the same ring as Maybach.
I love Aston's. An Aston is pretty near the top of the "want list" for both hubby and I. Then earlier this evening going to dinner he says that he thought about real soon taking the Porsche and trading it for one....... I about wet myself..... A good friend has one that is just drop dead gorgeous. Black w/ the dark cigar leather interior convertible........ahhhhhhh, SCCHWEET! I can hear him coming down the street
These V12 AM/Ferrari/Bent/Lambo, etc are effectively man-purses as they lack torque...which one enjoys daily in mid-range acceleration bursts (like on a fast urban fwy when trying to plug a gap in traffic in daily commute while on Bluetooth for business call and late for a meeting)
Once one is addicted to effortless torque of V12 of Merc 65 (738 lb-ft), any other V12 seems relatively weak and slow...
Interesting looking car in a radical way but there is no way that car is worth it's price tag of $1.5M USD. That is just insaine for an Aston Martin; especially since this is 5 times as expensive as their most expensive ever produced.
Sorry but there have been several cars in this price range. The Bugatti Veryron is $1M+. The Ferrari Enzo started at 600K. The McLaren F1 was $2.4M. Those are just a few that come to mind.
If I remember correctly, the V12 will never make it here to the US? Thought I read it had some safety issues and would not pass US laws.
DH would kill for the V12....but have to admit, the V8 Vantage ( and I guess the only Aston with a V8) is pretty sweet to drive! I had it all last week...we traded cars for a week...but have to say...R8 feels much better and much more responsive!
Actually just got word....AM V12 available here in the US in 2012.
